Beginners Yoga

Beginners Yoga is designed to develop new students intuitive awareness of their body. Teaching breath practices to stabilize the body-mind connection along with strengthening and stretching for greater flexibility and to balance any other physical workout. The “Universal Principals of Alignment are taught keeping the body safe and injury free. Sun Salutations and essential poses are taught. There is a emphasis on standing poses to strengthen the body and core areas. As a student you are supported and encouraged to “Start Where You Are” learning to work within the scope of your body’s individual blueprint. Yoga is not a competitive practice, we are all beginners here. Have fun and learn a practice that could transform your life.

Open Level Yoga

This class is taught to the skill level of the participants. We will work on building your skill level of the yoga practice with an emphasis on standing and balancing poses, hip openers and stretching the lower back. Breath work and mindfullness meditation is taught as we progressively build and strengthen students foundation and form in the yoga postures. We move slowly with lots of detailed instruction to keep you safe and injury free. Hands on assistance is offered. Modifications to poses are also offered in order to accommodate everyone at every level. Yoga can be added to any training and exercise program allowing your body to respond more quickly and with stiffness and soreness.

It is the ultimate overall body exercise.
